Comfort for the Day
– 4 – The Comfort of Scripture The last pages of this book have additional Scripture verses. On those days when you need extra support and comfort, turn to these pages to easily find a text from Scripture that will speak to your need for the moment. Because our God is the “God of all comfort” (2 Corinthians 1:3), His Word is filled with the comfort you need right now. These Scriptures helped us find solace and comfort throughout the stressful seasons of our emotional and physical grief seasons. We hope they will do the same for you. Make Your Own Adjustments While we have been intentional to write in a way that will allow for a broad spectrum of death and grieving experiences, it will happen that some of the ideas expressed might not match your experience. It is our desire that you, the reader, make adjustments to fit your needs, incorporating what works and setting aside what doesn’t. Our Prayer We encourage you to put your trust in God. He loves you and wants to be intimately involved in your healing. Our prayer is that Comfort for the Day will become a welcomed companion as you live through your seasons of grief. We pray that the thoughts and emotions penned in this guided journal will contribute to your personal healing journey. Lord, please give this broken hearted reader the comfort and healing he or she needs for each day. Confident in God’s Faithfulness to Heal, ~ Steve & Karen ~
