An Amaz ing Fact : Did you know that the Chinese invented paper,ഀ
the compass, ice cream, and gunpowder? A nd that even thoughഀ
China has roughly the same land mass as the United States, it hasഀ
four times our population? That means about one in five people onഀ
earth is Chinese!ഀ

     Lanying* often prayed to her long-d eceased ancestors, d esperately searching forഀ
com fort. Of course, her d ead relatives could never bring her relief. But you gave herഀ
hope! Your m inistry through Am azing Facts im pacted this hurting young w om an inഀ
China and led her fam ily to the peace and healing found only in God ’s Word .ഀ

     During m y first visit to the colossal land of China, I saw teem ing m asses of people—ഀ
m ost of w hom know nothing about Jesus—rushing through their busy, chaotic d aysഀ
tow ard a hopeless future.ഀ
ഀ
     It breaks m y heart know ing that even as m ighty skyscrapers spring up in Beijing,ഀ
Shanghai, and H ong Kong alm ost d aily, few there know the m ighty lifesaving pow er ofഀ
Jesus Christ like you and I d o.ഀ

     The gospel is d esperately need ed in the land of the Red Dragon! Only three percentഀ
of her 1.4 billion citizens claim the nam e of Christ—so there are still m ultiple m illions ofഀ
lost souls w ho d on’t know that Jesus gave H is life for them .ഀ
ഀ
     While freed om of religion is in China’s constitution, w orship is still m onitored by aഀ
governm ent that actively encourages atheism . Parad oxically, m any Chinese still practiceഀ
ancestor w orship, Bud d hism , Confucianism , Chinese astrology, and Feng shui. Longingഀ
for m eaning, peace, and security, even m any secular people still seek after fortune tellers.ഀ
ഀ
     If only they could see that the Bible has true answ ers for them ! But how can w eഀ
introd uce people to Jesus in a land that has stifled Christian outreach for d ecad es andഀ
w here religious television and rad io program s are forbid d en?ഀ
