Refocusing
The sad news is that many professing Christians are

also drawn into the vortex of human idol worship, blindly
walking in the footsteps of fallen stars. When Jesus came
the first time, Pilate gave the people an opportunity to
choose between the Savior or Barabbas—and the crowd,
many of them church members, called for Barabbas.

Amazing Facts wants to help people take their eyes off
the corrupt heroes of our depraved culture and focus them
instead on the inspiring, godly heroes of the Bible—those who became
men and women of noble character through the power of the Holy Spirit.

I’m thinking of Bible heroes like David, who God called “a man after My own heart,
who will do all My will” (Acts 13:22). And Elijah is called a man of faith and prayer
(James 5:17). These two demonstrated a supernatural courage and boldness in the face
of overwhelming adversaries. Likewise, the Scriptures call Rahab and Esther women
of great faith and godly works (Hebrews 11:31; James 2:25). While these heroes weren’t
always perfect, they all overcame through God’s power, just as we can.

So this is my plan: Beginning Friday evening, October 2, Amazing Facts will
broadcast a new 10-part revival/evangelistic series, live on AFTV and 3ABN, designed
for the whole family from a beautiful church in Sanford, Florida—a powerful, soul-
inspiring series called HEROES OF FAITH: Inspirational Stories of Salvation.

This will be a paramount opportunity for you and church members, young and
old, to experience desperately needed revival, while inviting Christian friends who are
unfamiliar with the three angels’ messages to experience the genuine faith of Jesus!

Life-Altering Impact
We know this series will make a BIG difference

because we’ve seen in the past how programs like this one
can impact a multitude of lives in incredible ways.

Take Gilbert, for instance, a former gang member who
wrote me just this past month to say his life was radically
changed after watching an Amazing Facts evangelistic
series—just like Heroes of Faith.

He explains, “Life to me was all about drinking and getting high.” Passed around
as a child from one foster home to another, neglected and unwanted, Gilbert felt a
gaping vacuum in his heart. He had been looking for someone to look up to—and
gang membership provided those “heroes” in the worst possible way.

Not long after, Gilbert made a name for himself among local law enforcement and
rival gangs. But, he says, “One day, an enemy gang member saw me. He pulled his car
up and a gun was pointed at my face. The barrel was so close I could touch it with my
nose. But the person about to shoot me stopped and said, ‘It’s not your time.’ ” And he
drove off suddenly. Had God intervened?!
