Here Am I, Send Me!
This is why Isaiah chapter 6:8 is one of my favorite

Scriptures. God’s prophet tells us, “I heard the voice
of the LORD, saying: Whom shall I send, and who will go
for Us?”

Isaiah humbly responds, “Here am I! Send me.”
This should be our model, but how many Christians
today are really supporting their few willing
missionaries?

I believe there are still many people who want
to serve in the Lord’s army as messengers for His
cause. And it is these individuals who will take the
message back to their local churches and inspire whole
congregations with evangelistic enthusiasm! That’s what I want for our churches—to
be full of active soul-winners for Jesus. How about you?
Amazing Facts desires to help grow God’s holy army, to make disciples of both
men and women who want to be used by God to reach their seeking neighbors, family,
and friends. Now, let me tell you about Carla, who attended AFCOE under difficult
circumstances but who has been forever transformed by your compassion …

A Raw Betrayal
As the wreckage of a broken marriage swirled around her, Carla felt terrible

betrayal as her husband explained he was in love with another woman.
Though Carla had always been active in church, her involvement was devoid of

any real spiritual connection. But now in this moment of desperation, she earnestly
cried out to God and her prayer life really began.

While her marriage eventually did crumble because of the adultery, Carla felt
assured that God would lead her through whatever lay ahead. So when her home
foreclosed, she moved in with her ailing grandmother knowing she had entered a new
chapter in her life.

Are You Ready?
One Sabbath, as Carla prepared for church, she had a nagging thought that

wouldn’t go away. “Our teenagers need to have their own ministry.”
When she presented this to a church leader, he said, “Sounds like a great idea! I

think you should head it up. Why don’t you begin by checking into the Amazing Facts
Center of Evangelism? Then we’ll talk about it with our pastor.”

Carla was floored. She had no funds, and it seemed like an impossible dream to
attend outreach training. But just a short time later, Carla bumped into her cousin Jim
at the grocery store. She hadn’t seen him for 15 years. As they chatted, she told him of
her desire to attend AFCOE. “But who will care for Grandma?” she asked. Jim knew
right away their meeting was not a coincidence: “I’ll care for Grandma!”
