An Active Witness

This young engineer from Nigeria, now living in
France, came to embrace the truth after a fellow worker
invited him to an Amazing Facts prophecy seminar and
shared our Study Guides with him. Cyril says, “It gave
me something I never had before.” And because of your
kindness, he was baptized.

But that’s not the end of his story! When Cyril learned
the truth, he felt compelled to share the good news too.
He says, “You cannot have the truth and be quiet.” Amen!
This is what happens to thousands upon thousands
who find Bible truth through Amazing Facts. Our goal is
to inspire new believers to boldly shine the light of Jesus, and that’s what Cyril is doing in
France today.
Cyril has a big heart for the lost in his adopted country. So do I! Even as I write, I am in
Spain preparing to preach, and I prayed for the people of France yesterday as we flew over
it. I want to ask you: Do you have a heart for the lost in France?
Roots of Spiritual Turmoil

Did you know that some of the great Protestant
Reformers were French? Sadly, many of them, like the
beloved John Calvin, were driven from their country because
of their commitment to sola scriptura.
While they faithfully promoted the Reformation
across Europe, many Protestants in France suffered terrible
persecution at the hands of the Roman Church. During the

rounded up and murdered.

And during the infamous French Revolution—a backlash
against the church and the extravagance of the crown—
atheism made huge inroads. The barbaric Reign of Terror
that followed attempted to remove God from the country
completely, replacing Him with the “goddess of reason.” They banned the Scripture and
even burned it in the streets! Those were some of the darkest days in France’s history.

While Christianity eventually returned, the damage had been done: cynical godlessness
had taken root. What can we do to turn these jaded souls back to the Bible?
To France and Beyond!
